Beautiful dessert with matcha

This dessert is both lovely to look at with its beautiful green colour as well as incredibly tasty. It's a dessert, which can be prepared in advance, if you for example wish to serve it to guests. In other words, it's an easy dessert that is sure to impress on the dinner table.

Do you love chocolate and mousse, you absolutely have to try this. With a twist of matcha you'll create a fantastic dessert with white chcolate. Matcha is  ground, green tea leaves, which is often grown in East Asia. Besides the gorgeous colour, matcha is known for its healthy characteristics, so there's not excuse not to try this dessert.

White chocolate mousse with matcha recipe

  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 egg whites
  • 140g white chocolate
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3 dl whipped cream
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Matcha (use the amount you'd like depending on how much you like matcha - we've used 1 tbsp, but try with 1 tsp if you're not sure)

Directions

  1. Melt the chocolate and let it cool
  2. Whip the egg yolks with sugar, salt, matcha, and vanilla until it becomes fluffy
  3. Whip the melted (and cooled down) chocolate with the egg yolk mix
  4. Whip the egg whites until they're stiff, and mix with the egg yolk mix
  5. Now whip the cream and add to the mix
  6. Pour into bowls and let it cool in the fridge for at least three hours
  7. Decorate with chocolate curls and fresh berries
